Marlon Colorado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Located in the heart of Long Island City, Queens, our academy is primarily focused on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the leadership of Professor Marlon Colorado. Background & Achievements

Sensei Takehito's journey in Judo began at the age of 4 in Japan, where the art originated. His dedication and skill have earned him a Nidan (2nd degree) black belt from the prestigious Kodokan Judo Institute. As a certified national coach and teacher from the United States Judo Federation (USJF), he brings both traditional expertise and modern teaching methods to our dojo.

His competitive achievements include a first-place victory at a regional tournament in Hokkaido and securing third place in a national competition held by the Japan Association of KOSEN Federation in 2011. These experiences have shaped his teaching philosophy and approach to competition preparation.

After moving to New York in late 2019, Sensei Takehito expanded his martial arts journey by beginning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 2021. He has since earned his purple belt under Professor Marlon Colorado, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and the integration of different grappling arts.
